What installation products do you offer for mounting Akupanels?

This range includes purpose-made products for mounting Akupanels, including screws, mounting glue, end lamellas and a spirit level.

How do the Akupanel screws work, and how many do I need per panel?

The screws are self-tapping and fix Akupanels through the felt backing and into the wall. Each pack contains 100 screws, and you will typically use around 15 screws per panel.

Will the screws tear the felt backing?

No. They are designed to go cleanly through the felt without tearing, leaving an almost invisible fixing point between the slats.

Can I mount Akupanels directly to the wall with glue?

Yes. The mounting glue is a 290 ml construction adhesive for fixing Akupanels directly to the wall; apply it, press the panel in place, and it bonds in 20 to 30 seconds.

What surfaces does the Akupanel Mounting Glue work on?

It works on most dry surfaces, including plasterboard, brick and concrete.

Do I need a grout gun for the Akupanel Mounting Glue?

If you do not already have one, you will need a standard construction gun that fits 290 to 340 ml cartridges, which is the same size as the Akupanel Mounting Glue. It can be reused with any standard-size cartridge.

What is an end lamella used for?

An end lamella is an MDF frame veneered on three sides that creates a clean border around your Akupanel installation. It neatly finishes the edges and helps hide any gaps between the panels and the surrounding wall or ceiling.

Why should I use a spirit level when installing Akupanels?

It helps you get the first row perfectly straight so the rest follow neatly. It is compact enough to sit between the slats while you work.
